This solidarity scarf will be transformed into WATER, that vital minimum that we all need to survive, water for the Wayúu inhabitants of the Great Guajira Desert in the North of Colombian territory, water so that life can break through, water to wash the body, water to wash the soul.

The Wayúu indigenous people measure time in suns, full moons and rains. For them, a year is 365 suns, twelve full moons and one rain. It's been 6 years since that rain comes ... They lack water.

From the union between Grandfather Juya, who always comes in the form of rain or downpour, and Mma, Grandmother Earth, life flourishes. When the seeds stored underground are moistened, the desert turns green.

From the entrails of grandmother Mma, the Wayúu draw water. They look for her and carefully take her out to continue life ... while they wait for Grandpa Huya's return. Each eye is like the bottom of a well of water protected inside Grandma Mma. The water turns the eye and the well into mirrors that reflect feelings and thoughts. This solidarity scarf is a Jayeechi, a Wayúu song to express their emotions ...“I ask you, our creator, to please send Juya (god of water) so that women are not carrying weight on their backs, the earth produces food, the animals are not thirsty, the birds sing louder, the Nature will flourish again, that is what I ask of you with my song. "

Each solidarity scarf becomes a 5.000 liter water trip that is enough for 5 families for 20 days.
